Google hasn't been helping me so I came here.  Can I legally drive to Oklahoma, buy a shotgun, and drive back to my residence in Texas?  I know an FFL must be involved if it is a transfer between two persons but does that still apply if I'm buying the shotgun for myself?

Federal law allows you to acquire a rifle or shotgun ONLY from a licensed firearms dealer in any state.
This means no handguns, no pistol grip only shotguns, no AR lowers and no firearm frames or receivers......only rifles or shotguns.

You cannot acquire a firearm from a nonlicensee who is not a resident of Texas.
