Whooooo Whooooo. Good ridance 65 mile one way commute. Hello 20 mile one way commute. I'm transfering to my old job much closer to home. Few years ago somebody messed up and they had to ask for transfers. I was thinking this was one foot in the grave for the old plant and needed to do what it takes to stay employed and transfered to Dallas. Well they are closing another in a different state and setting up at the old plant. I'm going back and on the same shift I was on when I left. Before Transfer: Leave 5-5:30 PM to get there (pushing it some days) by 7 PM. Get PO'd at McKinney traffic Once I go back: Leave house 6:30 AM and get there with plenty of time to spare and deal with the "country" roads. |
| Phone interview but it was my ex boss too. My bid was 2 or 3 weeks ago. It is the same job I had before the 1st transfer. No "not the best qualified" emails like I received on bids I made at main site. I did not even get interviewed on those except one but that one was before the 1st transfer and I could understand that one. The two other times I bid on jobs that were same as what I was doing before 1st transfer by actually working on the equipment and in the same area that I was working at that time too. Main site still has the good 'ole boy system in some places. I'll be making room for someone involved with the plant closing at the EOY to take my spot. I've heard there are more postings since last week but I did not have time to look. I sure had my fingers crossed. You drive a white Z71 with a Bowtech sticker? |
Took a picture with my phone of SB traffic in McKinney. Don't know if I have the service still to email it so I can post it. Basically a loaded flatbed semi rear ended another semi. You can imagine. Hear lately it seams there is at least one wreck at the 380 bridge a week. |
