Never actually sighted in one before.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have a spotting scope, or do you need to borrow one?
I will be at the FOP shoot and will bring mine and call adjustments if you want.

I would recommend doing a rough boresight on the upper before Saturday.  It will make things alot less frustrating.  Seperate the upper and lower receivers and remove the bolt group.  Set the upper receiver on something stationary and align the bore with an object at 25 to 50 yards.  Just look down the bore until you see the object you have chosen centered in the bore.  Then adjust the reticle of your scope to be centered on the object that you are looking at through your bore.

No I dont have one so if you wouldn't mind bringing yours I would appreciate it.  I'm not sure how good the scope is though. A buddy of mine gave it to me so hopefully it isn't crap.

nice looking AR.  I also recommend the bore sighing.  I just wish I could do that on my Hakim.  Oh well, I guess I'll be doing some 25m sightins.  Just remember at 25m 1/4"=1MOA, so if you're 2 inches right, you need to adjust 8 moa left.

Edited to Add:  Where did you get that flag?  I like it.

I was talking about moving a 1/4" at 25 yards, if you have 1 MOA sights, would be one click.  Now he didn't mention the moa incriments per click in his scope.   The clicks I was refering to is a rough 275m battle sight zero (which on a M1/M1A would also be a 25m zero).  2" at 25m does equal 8 moa.

The scope is one click=1\4 in at 100yds.  The flag contains the names of all the emergency personel that lost their lives in 9-11.  You can find it on the internet at Flag of Heroes
