We had to leave before the big light up, tannerite and shooting began but please don't leave me hanging. I have to know how it all went. Especially any pictures that might be available.

I want everyone to know I did have fun, even the part where I dropped the tree on Duke-Nukem's head. Of course flipping the car end over end was something I had never done before and quite interesting. I just wished we had the presence of mind to station a photographer for that occasion.
I am very eager for our first shoot out there, I can tell it is going to be great!
Now what else needs to be done? When should we schedule a shoot/construction/destruction party?
Does this mean a november shoot is possible now since we don't have any once-a-year-bubba-hunters to worry about?
BTW Jeff, I love your shop, all those awesome toys. Makes me drool just thinking about them.

Gary, in response to the cmmg range thread, all I can say is you have to see the video.  You wouldn't have been able to identify the shrapnel as a washing machine unless you were a forensic scientist. LOL. I've got a 27" TV that I will donate for the next one.
Later,
Justin

Hey GaryM,

Your table saw is at CMMG.  Stickerman and I built three freestanding wall sections and 1 window section for the next shoot.  Hopefully we can build 3 or 4 more to allow a variety of COF’s.

Yes the tannerite was insane.  The pumpkin full of tannerite that put the sunroof in the car was the best!

Metalman, I will call you about helping with those benches and reactive targets.  Also, my CETME finally works like it should.

You guys that had the video cameras, please post the videos somewhere.  I've got to show my wife what we were doing.  I don't care if I have to bring the kids with me the next time, I'm going to get her out there.  That is if you all will have me back, lol.
Jeff and John thanks again for hosting and letting me shoot the full auto, that was my first time and I loved it.

Today rocked!  I love the shop, (kid in a candy store).  Here's the scoop on the video, I'm going to download it all on the PC then make some CD's and send them to CMMG.  I will send a couple of vids to whoever can post them so we can have some links here as well.

CMMG thanks for the new lower,  now I don't have a lonely upper

Exploding pumpkins, washing machines and cars.. OH MY!!  hehe

Send some of the videos my way and I'll get them posted on the net.  I've got a web server that they can be posted on.  You might see if you have any footage of my 9mm AR also.

Brad, thanks for the ride and the use of your cell phone.  I really appreciate that!  I'll make you up a Cetme sticker if you let me know what size/color you want.  http://home.swbell.net/graphicx/gunstuff/cetme-1.jpg

I think I owe somebody else for some pizza so let me know and I'll make something up for you.

Airborne, send vids to [email protected], there is no cap on the size of an attachment there.  I'll host them up on imagestation and post here.

Gary, the only real bad thing about the tree and all is that I have sap and bits of tree bark embedded in my jacket now.  Its an old crappy jacket, oh well.  Good thing I have a hard head and all, one time in high school wrestling I got disqualified for headbutting my opponent, I used to headbutt people in fights all the time so a tree is no problem.

No I'm not making this up.

Hey Duke, just out of curiosity, where did you wrestle, weight, year.  Not that I ever got headbutted, just wanted to see if you were out there around the same time I was.

I wrestled from around 1990 (jr. high) until 1994 (junior year of high school in Lee's Summit).  I weighed, get this, 115lbs for 3 years until the end of my sophomore year.  I'm 5ft 6in and my brother is 6ft 3in.  I was on a diet at age 13-17 or so, while he played basketball and drank alot of milk.

Its ok, I don't mind-- I can fit in a Corvette.

DAMN DAMN DAMN!!! All I got to see is a little Tannerite!!! I had no idea the destruction that would ensue. DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!

I want to thank Jeff and John for havin us out there! Oh....yeah....and for all of you in Columbia I found a faster way to CMMG.
Go north on Stadium which turns in to E. It will end in Harrisburg and you hang a left on 124 to H to N to CMMG. I cut a bunch of time off my drive back!

Hey John...what was that joke you told me out there? Something about a dyslexic agnostic? Post it for me if you would....freakin funny as hell!

I wasnt able to really DO anything but I will make sure to make good on the steel.
I figure I will be the one scouting out the reactive shoot scenarios and making a book that can be left at the range for different types of games.
I got a lot of ideas for different set-ups and targets now that I saw the area this will all be in.
The COFs will be really interesting.

It was great meeting more of the 'clan' too!
Thank you all for being so nice to my girls and tolerating my big dumb dog!
Stickerman, nascar3n8fan,82_Airborne (boy you need to EAT! Come on over and I'll shovel some steaks into your gullet to get you prepped for the service!!!), Duke (nice to meet formally), rmdye, jen, and everyone else...its really cool being part of a community. I have strived to remove myself from people in general because of my negative nature, but I see that there are actually people in the world who are positive and helpful and cool. Screw the rest of the world for now, I'm goin shootin........

[YosemiteSam]Fricken-frackin-mutter-suckin'-jimeny-crappin'-workin' weekends![/YosemiteSam]

I love my job, but missing these shoots sucks more than Monica!

Please, SEND ME LINKS TO VIDEO!!!!

That's an ORDER!!!!!!!

BTW:   Yes, I am still alive and well, for those of you who were wondering.  It's just AT&T cell signal doesn't operate in the hotel.  At ALL.  If it wasn't for the damned contract, I'd be getting another (GASP!) NexTel, since I know their signal works.  It kind of sucks having to use ROAM to receive calls from a couple of miles away.  Grrr.

Thanks, guys, for all your hard work.  Too bad your Fearless Leader no longer has any free time , or I'd be out there with you.  At least my new job is great.

Another BTW:  VFW Post 3944 in Overland is now barbecuing every other Saturday, year round, from 11am to about 3pm.  Come get some Q, have a beer, and help support the VFW.  I'm hoping to still be able to cook every time, depending on what my schedule will be after the hotel opens.

And when exactly did the election take place? I guess I missed it, I would have voted for me.
Anyway, here are some pics!

Ok, first up is Jeff taking aim at the escort we blew up:

Escort after a small bottle of tannerite was placed behind the rear right tail lights:

Escort after more shots of tannerite. Note the hole it blew in the top of the car, as well as how it ripped the entire hatchback up around the top of the car:

And last but not least, my pit bull named Paulie. That's one vicious beast!!:

Sorry, shameless pic there. Don't have kids (and like our European friend DKprof, I don't plan too!), but love my dogs like family.

Metalman, those Great Pyreneese (I know I spelled that wrong!) are pretty cool dogs.

Good time saturday guys. Can't wait to do it again..........

Looks like it was a fun time, I'm sorry I missed it.

Sounds like you guys got a lot accomplished too.  Again, sorry I wasn't there to help out.

I've been real busy at work and home, and that weekend was my mom's b-day, hence my absence.

Anyway, thanks guys!

I am eagerly awaiting the next shoot. Hopefully more tannerite will be in the works along with the full-auto toys.
Any ideas for a course of fire next time? since we can do it now how about a jungle lane or some such? Do we need more washers/stoves/dryers/cars to blow up?

BTW Jeff and John, I plan to have your jeep up and running at the next match. Shouldn't take more than an hour or so and I know what tools to bring.

Whens the jeep gonna be going so I can make sure the S.A.W. Mount is finished.

from what I coulc tell last week it shouldn't take much to get it going. I am guessing an hour or so to get it to fire up and stay running. So whenever the next shoot is I would say by evening that day. Of course I can't be 100% positive since there might be unexpected problems (drivetrain etc) but I would say it is a very good chance then. If OK with CMMG and my schedule permits then maybe before then but that would have to be figured out sometime in the near future.

When I bought the Jeep the owner said they drove it around their farm the the starter switch started acting up ( the one under the column)so they parked it. I had it sitting for about a year, I never even tried to start it. I am making a pintle mount for the Roll Bar, you know for those SAW-Tannerite encounters.
