Apparently according to CT law I need a hunting permit or a CCW to buy firearms through private sales.  For awhile I just said screw it and bought from shops, but recently I've seen great private sale prices.  I'm a few months to young to get a CCW permit and I've having a hard time finding "hunters safety" classes which are needed to get a hunting permit here.  Anyone know of courses, preferably in the fairfield county (south west)?.  Please help.

Have you checked the tacked threads for sportsman or gun clubs to contact?

You can check with the town clerks office in your town for info on hunters safety classes. BobK
