Woman shot after men shouting 'police' break into home

A woman is shot in the leg after three men shouting "police" break into her home looking for money.

Police got a call about a home intrusion with shots fired at a home on Broadmoor in Little Rock.

When police arrived, they found a woman who had been shot in the leg. She told officers she was home with her children when she heard banging on the carport door. When she went to the door, she said a man on the outside shouted, "Little Rock Police!"

She called her husband who said to disarm the alarm and let them in. She says just as she was about to disarm the alarm, one of the men broke down her door, setting off the alarm.

She says the man then shot her in the leg, asking for money. Two more men followed the first inside, but the alarm was going off and it scared the men away.

She says the men fled in a light green colored SUV. She says one of the men was between 20 and 30, was dressed in all black with a T-shirt that had "POLICE" in big letters on the front. She says the other two were wearing masks, dressed in all black with the same T-shirts on.
