Got home today from work, and to my amazement, I have received my carry permit from Hennepin County. I would have bet money that the sheriff would have waited the full 30 days. Anyone else from Hennepin County receive theirs today?

They used up most of their 30 days, though.

When I went in a few weeks ago, the man & lady at the temporary office in the Grain Exchange were all alone, no waiting, so I have to believe that they are not getting very many applicants. As usual the liberals have made hay out of this return of one small right.

I don't expect to get my permit for several weeks yet because of my late application.

How long did it take for your permits to go through?

I applied for my permit on May 28th, and received it on June 25th. Not quite 30 days, but long enough!

Hey, Tom, you can't be a "soft white guy!" It's only in Dakota County!

I hope that the Dakota Cty. sheriff & Washington Cty sheriff don't run for office again. Could those guys have made any dumber comments?

Actually, I do live in Hennepin County, but looking in the mirror I'm turning into a SOFT WHITE GUY! One word... DIET!

How soft and white is that sheriff?

What a bastard. I'm definately printing that article out so I can remember come election time.

To use one of their analogies though, I'd rather be holding the winning lotto ticket if the time comes.

This the Star Tribune article I was telling you about.

I respect LEO's for the generally tough and dangerous service they do for the communinty, but this Sheriff is a cocksmoker.

How come this doesn't surprise us? Good luck friend. Keep watching your mailbox & hoping our county gets their heads out of their A$$ES someday.

Came today. Funny letter is dated 7/10, last Thursday. The envelope is postmarked 7/15. I dug out my receipt deal, it was stamped 6/13. Admittedly that was a Friday, but they sure seem to push the envelope on the whole deal. It is a nice hard card. New, MN stated issued ice scraper!
