Just signed up to the forums today and wanted to say hello to everyone.
I've been a photographer for about 12 years now and these last few weeks I thought hard and heavy about changing hobbies. So yesterday I got myself a RRA LAR-8. Now I just got to find a place to shoot close to Montevallo. My girlfriends grandma owns 26 acres here and I shot it once, but grandma called like 5 seconds later and said "NO NO". But yea, other than that "How's everyone doing?" and look forward to chatting with you all. |

The WMA range in Helena is only 20 minutes from Motown, but you'll need a vehicle that can handle rough roads. Also, be sure that all non-CCW firearms are unloaded or you will get a ticket from the "biologist" (aka game warden). To get there from Montevallo (downtown): 1. North on 119 2. Left on 15 north 3. Left on 22 west 4. Right on 17 north 5. Left on 91 north in Helena beside Publix There should be a sign pointing to the right off the dirt road that tells you how to get to the range. |

Can't you shoot it at Hoover Tactical? If you don't want to do the indoor thing, Shepard's Branch Shooters Complex in Talladega Co, a little more than a hour away. Guess everyone's opinion varies. Hoover Tactical isn't really my type of place. $18, they keep all brass, get mad if u share a lane, even if it's helping your own son shoot a gun, plus the sales people are kind of dicks. |
