On a short vacation to Gatlinburg. Will be returning to OH on Friday. Any good gun stores on the way back to Knoxville? Mainly interested in handguns. Thanks.

I can tell you which one to avoid in Sevierville.

Bob's Golf and Guns (IIRC it was Bob's, but it definitely had golf and guns).

Clueless staff. Mediocre, at best, prices.  Poor selection.

Coal Creek Armory - only one you need to visit.

You're thinking of J Floyd's Golf and Guns. They moved next door a few months ago to a new store affixed to the gas station.

Sadly, they may have the best selection around Sevierville if you don't count Bass Pro (and I don't).

Sevier Indoor Range has a decent selection and really good staff. There's a new store out on Chapman Hwy near Seymour called Rocky Top Armory- haven't been in there yet.

If going to Knoxville, Coal Creek did have a nice selection last I was there a few years ago...but the prices were high and the staff's noses were even higher (in the air). SERIOUSLY shitty attitudes, though again it's been some time since I went there (and will be some time before I return).

Take the scenic route through Tazewell. Stop in at Mike's Gun Shop. Thank me later.

Guns n' more was the shit when I was in Knoxville.

They even helped do a video for one of my class presentations with a suppressed SOT krinkov.

That was also when predator customs was in the back of the store.

Guns n' More is now closed. When they moved off of Kingston Pk, they never were the same.

I bought my first AK from Guns and More when I was a freshman at UT. They were a great little gun shop. Predator Custom was in the back & I bought my first AR from them. Predator Custom is in a new location on Papermill. They are great guys to deal with. I had 2 ARs cerakoted & an barrel cut down to 10.5 & the gas port opened up by Jim. They do great work & he stands by it. Guns & More used to do gun shows too. I actually bought my 1st handgun from them also. A Beretta 92fs. $550 out the door.
