I was planning to fire up my grill but the gate fell apart. I pulled the grate out and the expanded metal just started crumbing. Oh well, I knew it wouldn't last forever.

Yes, I get that Holloway, I had to beat, scrape and brush off a lot of rust

before I got started. The bottom of the grill is burning through. I used the

side box this time. I will make this thing last a while longer. Would be

nice if they built them out of stainless. I think the added price would be

worth it.

It wasn't a rust issue. My grate was made from 1/2" expanded metal. Over time the heat breaks the metal down.

Nice...

I rebuilt my parents grill yesterday; grilled some Kingfish, Cobia and one big ass steak for my step-dad since he's allergic to sea food.

That is good that they were falling off the bone, BUT how did they taste?

Did you use any decent rub recipe as I am always on the lookout for new ones.

Thanks guys, they were great. I cannot reveal the seasoning method though.

Maybe one day I can cook them and bring them to a shoot and you can taste

for yourself.
