First of all just wanted to thank the folks that answered my questions and gave suggestions about areas in TN, shooting and atitudes towards black rifles awhile back. I do appreciate them all. Looks like the ball is rolling!! My daughter got accepted to her two first choices for college. One in VA an the other in NC. My little brother took a teaching position at and just made an offer on a house in Bristol TN. Hopefully they will be settled in by August. We will then begin looking for a suitable secluded hunk o dirt for all three brothers to own together. I can't tell you how much I look forward to being in the south again. I do miss the region. Hopefully I'll be able to meet some of you folks in the not too distant future and get to shoot. Chances are, once I'm settled in, I'll put the word out for any and all to head out to the Rancho Deluxe for a Bar B Q. I have not been to a pig pickin' since I left NC. Anyhow, thanks again. I look forward to becoming a citizen of TN. Although I am now in Oregon I am from Alabama. Went to high school in Huntsville. I spent a lot of my misbegotten youth in TN and I do love the state. Hopefully I wont get my pumpkin thumped for wearing my Auburn cap in TN!! |

Sounds good. Dont worry about wearing your Auburn cap. I have disliked the Vols all of my 33 years. Half the fun is rooting against them and watching the reaction because the first question TN fans always ask is "Where you from?" So you can be from TN and not pull for the Vols!  You will like the NE Tn area. I would move back but there just isnt much of a job market up there. |

Thanks. I'll definitely give a holler when I'm back. Yeah, the summer. Time to sweat again. I've been in the high west long enough to have to get used to it again. I'm hoping we can find some dirt far enough out to construct another range area. I've got one set up behind the barn and it sure is nice to be able to shoot whenever I feel like it. I'll let yall know when and if. A home bar b q and shoot sounds like a fine idea to me. Anti Tide is good. I've got to admit that even though I am from Alabama I just have to pull for the Vols when they play Bamer. Man, I am looking forward to actually showing up for some SEC football. I've been to see the Ducks play a few times out here and there is no comparison between the fans, the style of play and the overall aura of the game. I get the feeling the folks out here might be scared of it all were they to experience an SEC game. There are some good ball players out here and serious fans but it just doesn't have the same buzz.
