Hey, folks.

What's some cool stuff to do in Brooklyn? I haven't set foot over there yet, and I want to poke around.

Thanks!

Go to Coney Island where you can:
visit the NY aquarium
hang out at the beach/boardwalk
eat at Nathan's Hot Dog
Ride on a roller coaster and some other rides (Astroland)
attend a minor league baseball game (Brooklyn Cyclones, apart of the Mets farm system)

Other places to go in Brooklyn:

Brooklyn Brewery (www.brooklynbrewery.com)
Brooklyn Botanical Garden (www.bbg.org)
Prospect Park - Brooklyn's version of Central Park

Eat at Junior's Restaurant and have a piece of their famous cheese cake for dessert, also buy a whole cheese cake to go and share it with your female neighbors at your dorm. Women love great tasting cheese cake.

Hope that helps!

Be fat like me and goto Juniors on flatbush and get the most awesome cheese cake!

I keep hearing about Junior's from everyone. It must be awesome. I think that will be my destination in Brooklyn--after the the boardwalk. I didn't do that yesterday, because I was pretty beat when I finally got back to my apartment yesterday.

+1 on Juniors' cheesecake. Suprisingly, the recipe was in the NYT food section many years back. It is nice to be able to make it at home when not in Brooklyn.
