If you really want snow, you can come stay with us for a while.

When I was an undergrad (it was either my first or second sophomore year) we had snow as early as 13 Oct.

Hopefully never in Phoenix...  The snow was one of my main reasons to move out of Wisconsin...  Ehh, make that  the Midwest in general.

hell, there was snow on the Huachucas into late march, so i'm assuming that we're candidate for at least a light dusting out here in Palominas.

It's snowed a couple times here in Phoenix that I remember since I've lived here (20 years). First snow is probably up north in Flagstaff. No Idea when.

It has already started in PHX. Have you not noticed the increase of gray hair in the valley. The snow birds are a coming. Issue a winter storm warnig now. There is snow everywhere.

I'm sure it's already started down in South Texas (the area Styk and I are originally from), too.

First real cold front pushin' through, sends all the snow birds migrating south for the winter.

Stupid Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce and the Convention & Visitor's Bureau folks all insist on calling them "Winter Texans," though.  They think "snowbirds" is offensive.

I don't know what all kinds of loopy shit they pull out there, (they pull a lot down in Corpus, don't get me wrong) but the one that really always got my goat was that *they* were the no-talent assclowns who always thought it was fun, cool, and a "good idea" to feed the seagulls.

Death to the interlopers, and stuff like that.

LOL!!! yup...you could always tell the snowbirds.....1. they'd be feeding the seagulls, 2. you'd hear at least once every year "SHARK!!!!" when they were on the ferry boat goin to the island and saw the dolphins.

OMG, it's been so long since I've actually *lived* down there that I'd almost forgotten..........

I'm expecting snow here by at least Nov.15th, if not Oct.30th.  I'll have to dig up this thread and rub it in when it does.

Know most Arizonans don't/won't care, but we almost had our first freeze (not snow) last night.

Only thing [that] kept that from happening was cloud cover.

Snow? In southern AZ? Shit dude, the fucking asphalt doesn't resolidify until mid-January

If you see white powdery stuff falling from the sky down here, it isn't snow, it's ash from birds that got to close to the sun...

LOL...sheeit...when i got to Sierra Vista in Feb. the Huachucas were snowcapped BIGTIME, and stayed that way until April.  It helps that this area is at damn near 5000 ft. I guess.
