Kind of late notice, and for that I apologize, but if anyone here is interested, there's a unique opportunity to remember 9/11, meet other people, share stories, and contribute to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).

Join us on September 11, 2010 for the 2nd annual Firefighter 14er Challenge as we hike the popular Quandary Peak (14,265’) outside of Breckenridge, CO!
This is a great opportunity to remember the fallen heros of 9/11 in a uniquely Colorado way, hike some of our most challenging and beautiful scenery and meet brothers and sisters from neighboring departments.
Sign up as individuals or with groups. Non departmental friends and families as well as those wanting their own way to reflect on 9/11 are welcome!
Note: we will be running two start times to accommodate those firefighters getting off work the morning of 9/11. In addition to the 6:00 start, we will have a 9:30am start - only for those needing it due to shift work!
All donations for this event will go to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
If you have any questions, please contact Chad at:

Visit our Facebook page to discuss your climb, your group, if you plan on camping, etc.
Download our flyer and post in your department!
Registration is $25, and you will receive a T-Shirt for your participation.
Food and drink will also be provided by the numerous sponsors for the event. From an email they recently sent registrants:
We have lined up a number of sponsors that have very generously donated money, food, drinks and time to this event. Please take a moment to thank them for their contributions. Coffee from Starbucks will be provided at the base camp, water, Gatorade and Larabar snacks will be available to all before the hike. Following the hike, stop for a moment in the base camp and enjoy a hot BBQ lunch, meet some new friends and relax before heading back home for the afternoon.
Hope to see some of you there
