Dirt shooting is the next level of shooting after you become proficient at all the shooting games and decide you don't need to be a gun show rambo. Once you own a good folding table and some steel plates and target stands you’ll never go to another range.

It's a step on the road to tactical zen.

This is true.

To me a dirt shooter is a guy who goes out to the desert to shoot his guns. He may shoot at steel swinging targets, Tannerite, Soda cans, even dirt.

Some elitist would say that a dirt shooter doesn't zero in their guns, to that I say Bullshit!

A "Dirt shooter", is what the high and mighty call us guys that have fun in the desert.

If you have gone out to the desert to shot a full auto at just the dirt, Then you are a dirt shooter.

That sounds really gay

After your "Sausage Stuffing Party", in the words of the greatest DI that ever lived "I'll be watching you!"

Yeah dickweed, call me too since you don't respond to my IM's!

I'll call you in the AM AZRN.
All that fancy commo gear and you can never call me?

I wouldn't give the DIRT crowd that much credit. Shoot! Steel plates and a folding table imply that you might actually show an interest in some form of MARKSMANSHIP or practice of tactics.

The true measure of a DIRT shooter is willingness to shoot illegally on STATE TRUST LAND, and be in complete DENIAL of the situation!

This is getting ridiculous. Dirt shooters, Rambos, Elmer Fudds, elite snobs, is there any more ways we can further divide gunowners against each other? What's the point of this thread other than to troll and bait even more divisiveness?

I started this thread as a joke about the division of peoples thought's on what the proper type of shooting is.

I could care less what kind of shooter you are, as long as you dont judge me.

Shooting is fun and thats all that matters to me.

I still haven't blown up that Tannerite. I am gonna be a dirt blower-upper! I promise to hide my steel plate (also still a virgin) if anybody drives by.

Last weekend I shot the living hell out of an electric range at an undisclosed location. That makes me a range shooter.

I hope you didn't bring it out there. Those appliance dumping ASSHOLES will be the end of all of our desert shooting. And I sure as hell don't like the notion of being stuck punching paper at Ben Avery while some putz that has less training than me yells at me!

I'll haul off plastic bottles and jugs and such that will fit into my recycle bin. But my little toyota p/u won't haul a refridgerator very easily, and I wouldn't know where to take it anyhow.

I never leave with less than I brought.

OPPS, my question was for "wildearp".

Good for you Markm, thanks for being a good example.

I thought it was because CG P&R banned .50 and tannerite.

I meant because we seem to be fighting over things instead of organizing a shoot like the Casa Grande ones.
Oh, and Steve getting the boot and the AZHTF uprising didn't help much either.
We're devided between several sites now and it's hard to get people together.

A casualty of the great AZHTF massacre of 2005.
