Excellent idea. Is there an average minimum cost per gift?

Although I will probably not be attending, I vote Cool River, but remember-- we have to dress up because after a certain time, you get kicked out if you are not wearing the propper attire. (They have excellent chicken wings too!)

... Can "outta-towners" attend? Or is this DFW exclusive. I may be in Dallas 5th thru 7th

To asssure an out of town reservation, all staff members residing in Texas must receive compensation of a case of ammo

I change my choice to #3, I can probably go now... I can find something inexpensive on the menu.

Aww c'mon Energizer, I was unemployed for 7mos and managed to go to all the DFW Dinners including the one at Fogo De Chao.

My mortgage is a weeeeee bit higher than renting an apartment... Unemployment checks won't even cover the mortgage-- and that's without escrow...

oh alright.  semester is winding down and finals are first week in december (i get a loooong break) so this dinner will be a nice end of semester party for me.

are the gifts considered white elephant gifts (ie not really usefull, just funny stuff) or actual gifts

I think a useful gift would work.

Lulu's, mags, knifes, etc

3) At the end of dinner those that brought a gift will get a chance to pick a number out of a hat which will correspond with a numbered gift box.
4) The person picking can either choose to keep the gift, take one from another person, or give up the gift and pick again.
.a) A gift can only be taken from another person 2X. So the 3rd person gets to keep it.
.b) The person picking can only give up the gift they picked from the hat and draw another 1X

Will the gift remain wrapped the whole time, or will the first person unwrap it?

I'll definitely try to make it wherever, since I am "official" now... I got my AR15 last Thursday.  (will post pics ASAP)

I'd like to meet all you guys who have helped me out and those who I will bother later when I decide to BUILD one! hahaha

How will we know where it will be?  Results posted here?

Traditionally the gift is unwrapped by the person who first chooses it so that everyone else can decide if they want to choose an unopened one or try and steal the opened one.

Alright folks it seems that Big Bucks is winning. I will give them a buzz Weds to set it up. I assume the usual 20-25 reservation would do.

<sarcasm>Nice of everyone to show up.... </sarcasm>

At least a couple of us were there.
