Hey guys its almost December.
With many Christmas parties coming, I figure we plan this early. Here's a couple of suggestion.
Choice 1
When: December 6th
Where: Cool River Cafe in Irving
Time: Drinks around 6PM and Dinner around 7PM
Yes this place is a little pricy, however, we had great service from them the last time and they were very accomodating. Although they did not split up checks individually, they did split them per table. They also have a set menu for groups that has a set price per person. We may just want to do that this time.
Choice 2
When: December 6th
Where: Texas Land and Cattle in Richardson
Time: Drinks around 6PM and Dinner around 7PM
We can also do Texas Land and Cattle like last year. They gave us a seperate banquet room and a set dinner price. Also pretty good service.
Choice 3
When: December 6th
Where: Big Bucks Brewery in Grapevine next to Bass Pro Shops.
Time: Drinks around 6PM and Dinner around 7PM
Another would be Big Bucks Brewery I don't think they have a private room, but the last 2 times we've been there, the service have been good and they are very accomodating.

Next. Since this is Christmas time. I say this year we do an exchange gift of some sort. Limit the gift to $25 maximum. Its the thought that counts, isn't it? Here's what I am proposing to have.
1) Everyone bring a gift, wrapped with your board name on it as a "from"
2) Gifts will receive a number as we get em. You will also get a corresponding number. This will be used as a numerical order in picking gifts.
3) At the end of dinner those that brought a gift will get a chance to pick a number out of a hat which will correspond with a numbered gift box.
4) The person picking can either choose to keep the gift, take one from another person, or give up the gift and pick again.
.a) A gift can only be taken from another person 2X. So the 3rd person gets to keep it.
.b) The person picking can only give up the gift they picked from the hat and draw another 1X
