"January 31 & Feb. 1 Decatur Holiday Inn" Anyone ever been to this one? Is it worth the drive up from the StLouis area? Got my tax rebate today. Looking to pick up a toy or two.  |

Been there a few times. Last time was in 2000. Not really a great show. Not a whole lot of distributors when I was there. I had driven down from Peoria, IL, and didn't make the trip again. There is a "rural" one in Princeton, IL, that I used to like. A lot of different distributors there. Last time I was at the one in Princeton, either Model 1 or M&A was there (can't remember which). A good gun shop, all around, is Pekin Gun & Sporting Goods on Derby St. in Pekin, IL. I grew up in Central IL my entire life and now live in Texas, and even where I am in TX there is nothing compared to Pekin Gun. |

I haven't been to the Decatur show since it's moved to its new location. I'll be going tomorrow. Typically, it's not worth the trip from St. Louis. The same organization that's putting it on, the Egyptian Collectors Assn, is doing a show in Collinsville on Feb 7-8 at the Gateway Center. |
