Can anyone recommend a place here in CT. that can reliably assemble a complete upper?

To answer the big question...I do not have the tools nor the inclination to attempt this myself....and I want it done right the first time which sure as hell it wouldn't be if I tried to do it.

Delta arsenal in Wallingford. Their main business is building ARs.

I sent the guy I use for custom builds the link to your inquiry. He is in the Newington area.

Did a nice job on my Colt. I have him working on my next build. He can source all the components you want and is very knowledgable. Very reasonable and a nice guy.

It's really not that hard to do it yourself. All you need is an armorers" wrench, a cup of Aero lube and a device of you choice to hold it in position. I use the Geissele reacation rod.

Not sure where you are located but Sean at Parker Gunsmithing is great.  He is in Bethel CT.

I thought the rod was mostly for muzzle devices.

i assembled 2 ar's. no vise blocks for the upper carefully used a thick shirt, i used a shitty 30 rounder that was smashed up for the lower and i put that in the vise. i only used my buddies armor wrench on the 2nd one. its way easier. if you have any mechanical skills, you dont need any "ar building kits". dont be scared. i followed the brownells videos. its step by step. ill also note that i we have a snapon box loaded...fathers a mechanic and has all punch sizes and anything you can think of..

shockingly easy...but some god tools do help

and some stuff is a PITA...getting the barrel nut tight and cloked can be hairy... you do need some good hitemp grease

Good luck post pics
