No, all carry car restrictions for chls will be removed, so you can stick it in your belt, pocket, under the seat etc. I wouldn't have it laying lose in plain site personally but you could. Immediate Duty to inform remains. Quoted:
Will you still need a holster to pocket carry? |
|
Maybe I missed something. This new restaurant/bar law changed?
If the restaurant/bar, still post a NO GUNS WANTED signs. You can not carry in said Restaurant/Bar. Or I'm I miss understanding the new law. PITA45 |

Will you still need a holster to pocket carry? What I mean is, if you're out walking about, does the requirement that you have to have your gun in some kind of holster, even if carrying in your pocket, go way also? Or does the removal of car restrictions cover that too? Thanks |

It was/is only in the car that required a holster if carrying on your person and other hurdles that had to be followed. The new law changes the car carry restrictions. |

I was under the impression that regardless of mode of carry, your gun had to be in a holster. |

as others have said, correcto.

WOW time has flown by, it's carry almost every where Friday. The great part is, that for the next 6 months. All the bar's and nice places to eat will all be empty, since all the anti gun folks said they will be staying home.
FINAL, NO WAIT TIME AT LONE STAR, YIPPY......... |

Silly question (maybe)...
Currently, if caught with a gun in a restricted venue (like a bar/school/courthouse) it's a criminal act. No excuses for carrying in a liquor establishment - you get in trouble. Currently, If you accidently find yourself in a non restricted store or business that posted a sign (bank, mall, etc..) then they ask you to leave (otherwise it's criminal tresspass) because you obviously didn't see the sign. How will it work in restarunts after the law takes effect? If you wander into a posted bar/restaraunt while carrying (mistakenly, of course) ... is it mandatory trouble like other restricted locations or do they just ask you to leave like any other posted business would have to? |
|
Don't know, becuase like the Anti-Gun folks i don't visit and spend my $$ with places that post "NO FIREARMS" signs. But i'm sure the AG's office has something posted on there site by this time. I'm just to lazy/tired to go hunt it down. Maybe later this evening, After football.

Thank you voters! Thankyou. Sadly this last election in my great state, wasn't much different than the recent SCOTUS vote on 2A; way too close. There are just too many that vote with the wrong side of their brain for my comfort. Just look at our POTUS and the damage he's done.

funny thing happened tonight at dinner when I was CCW in a restaurant that serves booze - NOTHING happened! my gun didnt go off, I didn't see any wild west action, I kind of feel jipped
