Sitting here peckin away on the computer and its sunny by my house but REALLY DARK about 10 miles North and WHAM!!! Big old lightning flash and thunderclap. Thunder is great, we just don't have it enough, which I guess makes it a treat here in the Northwest.

That is a particularly nasty form of a VD, isn't it?  

When we lived in Alabama, there were some massive thunder and lightning storms.  I was very little at the time, but I always thought it was cool.

We get it enough around here.

The coolest lightning storms I have ever seen were in Lousiana. OTOH, the Philippines had some killer storms too. We dont get them ike that around here.
