Time to do a pit shoot. Looks like TRG won't be here until January so lets go to the Chehalis pit on the weekend of 12/6 and 12/7.
Can you say tannerite, propane, glowsticks and tracers? I knew you could!  Any ideas, suggestions or comments will be taken at this time!

I always camp there but not everyone does. The nighttime B/Sing, campfires, and tracer mag dumps are the best!

Them roads might get a little rough with snow on them, especially with the triler on. It's all good though, we can just get a big assed fire going to stay warm once we make it up there. Propane in the snow would probably be fun! Can't wait! |

how do you get to the chehalis pit? i'll be coming from Lacey. won't be able to make it until saturday morning(have to work friday night). any shotgunning? should i dig up my pigeon thrower? or just bring the AR and truck load of ammo?

There is usually a caravan up to the pit on Sat. We will update as it gets closer. Bring the scattergun. We can lay down the birds.

I work Sat's until 6pm in Yelm, then back on Sundays at 10am. How can I find you'se guys after 6 on Sat?
ETA, 2WP (and any other Friday nighters) I'm at work 530-close on Fridays. It's a short run from I-5 to Yelm. $1.50 Bud Lite draft $2 wells

Work permitting I am gonna try...
They seem to usuing the pit these days for gravel so hopefully they won't park an equiptment in the way or work that weekend. Today they were active enough we bailed to one of the smaller pits on up the road a ways to shoot. Hope to see you all there... |

Where the hell were you guys????? After the site went down I just went ahead and showd up anyway. A class 3 dealer from OR was there with a BAR and an M1A1 Thompson to commerate the Pearl Harbor anniversary! Freaken Awsome!!!

Ya, I went up there with a couple of other guys and had a blast, shot propane, tannerite. Had a bunch of pop up displays from a store as targets, like the ones in the theaters. Also had a life size mummy from a halloween store, it took 308 rounds all day without being destroyed, even took it home to use it again. It was sunny and clear skies till about 1pm and then it rained a little so we set up a huge awning and shot clays till it cleared up again. The night shoot was fun too, but the propane didn't seem to go as good because of the cold weather. This time we strapped 2 glowsticks to either side of the tannerite and just aimed in between them, worked pretty good. Buddy had the new springfield scope for his springfield m1a, with the illuminated recticle, worked much better than the trijicon at night, although we had a full moon too. We did a little Bob Lunden style shootin with the pistols too, my Beretta sounded like a 93r. They extended the pit to the north quit a bit also, alot more room to park and it made the range longer too. Best part was, we had the whole pit to ourselves cuz none of you camera toting pussys showed up......  007 ________________________________________________ I don't have a liscense to kill but I got a learners permit. |

Yes it was a beautiful day for shooting! I remember waking up sat morning and seeing the sunshine, then thinking that it was to bad no one posted or e-mailed me directions when I had requested them.
I would have took the chance and showed up.....had I only known how to get to the pit.

I got to spend the weekend repairing damage to my place and fixing the roof on the mom-in-laws house. I'm glad to hear that a couple of you guys got to have some fun out there!
