Found this today. I think gun owners in the Great White North scored a bullseye with this one.
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said:

"There are [politicians] in all these parties that know what we know: that law-abiding hunters and farmers are not part of the crime problem, and that you should be respected and not demonized, So I challenge you to press these MPs to follow their consciences and do what they know is right, vote to abolish the long-gun registry and fight crime instead."

Makes me wonder if they can do it then hopefully sanity and reason will trump paranoia and irrationality in our own gun-control battle(s).

That's all it is. They're not doing it because it doesn't do anything either. It's almost purely for the cost savings...

This whole affair has made me abandon any thoughts of Canada getting better in regards to gun laws other than getting rid of the registry. It is and always will be Commieda.
