Every time I go to Calverton to sight in my target rifles I have noticed that their shooting tables/benches are so unstable they actaully rock/woble.  I am usually at the far right but was wondering if you guys have noticed the same thing??   Are the benches to the left any better??

hi,
I usually get stuck in the middle near the tower and havent noticed any problems with the bench shaking.  I usually shoot standing but havent really experienced wobbling tables

Usually shoot at the tables more towards the middle of the 100/50 area and since the tables are heavy and the base is pure sand I've never noticed them to wobble.  YMMV

Never had a problem and am usually stationed at the 100 yard area.

Are you allowed to bring your own chairs?

Hell, I am not that good of a shot to notice table wobble!  Maybe I'll get better and then complain, or bring my own table.

Not really complaining, just noticed last time I was there and making 1/4 click adjustments that I was having difficulty keeping the x on center with a rest when I realized the table was actually wobbling.  I didn't really think about it then but had been wondering whether the tables (stations) at the left (200 yard) area were any better.

I'll try the center area, thanks for the responses, and I will try to make one of these group shoots guys.

There are older tables, and newer ones. Some are absolute shit, and need to be replaced. Falling apart, nails sticking out, yadda, yadda, yadda. The whole line is like this. You have to try and pick the newer ones if you're shooting off the bench.
