I am interested in purchasing a rifle through the CMP.
However I am unsure about the requirement. I do not have a lot of money to be a member of a CMP approved organization but I can contribute some if its lower priced. Are there any in CT? I already meet the age and citizenship requirements as well as hold a pistol permit. So if I am not mistaken I am just missing the above. THanks Medic17 |

if you look on the CMP website I'm pretty sure that there are some low cost, national organizations that you could join. In fact I'm pretty sure that there is one in particular that you can join that they suggest for people in your exact situation.

Since you're in CT, I suggest joining the CT Rifle & Revolver Association for $35/year.
