For your consideration....

I was talking with someone about bullet serialization the other day and it occurred to me that if this is a good idea then so is serializing alchohol bottles, cigarettes, medications and other things that may fall into the hands of those not intended to receive them.  With the sale goes the serial number of the items purchased on your receipt and would have be registered to either a credit card, or debit card to ensure tracking.  This would eliminate many people who can only make transactions in cash and they do need these things anyway.

We could imprint a serial number on the bottles, on the cigarette labels and directly on the pills.  Now this would certainly increase costs, bottles would have to be destroyed after use, pills would probably have to be made larger in many cases and cigarettes would probably be the only item to not increase in price drastically, but an increase could be justified due to the other items increase.

Just think of the ability of law enforcement to be able to track that adult who buys alchohol for the under-aged drinker.  It would be tracked to the person who legally purchased it, or the bar that allows the item out of its premises.  You say that some child may steal a beer our of someone's refrigerator, or from a pantry and thereby falsely incrimate the legitimate buyer, but we all know that responsible people everywhere lock up their booze and would never let this happen.  Bars would also never allow security to let a patron exit the premises with an alcholic container.  Fines would be easy to execute and prove.  You say that cigarettes could be destroyed by smoking, but the remaining cigarettes would have the serial number that matches a pack and thereby incriminate the owner as well.

Imagine also that this is not only a means of catching people for contirbuting to those illegally using substances, but think of the ability to track litterers!  Finding bottles, cigarette packages, medical containers (we find diabetes syringes along the road often) on the ground and this would allow us to gain revenue for this abuse as well.  People may say that they disposed of these containers correctly, but who would endanger themselves by improper disposal, when everyone would be required to return these containers to authorized reclamation points.  New jobs would be created as well!

My god, I guess that bullet serialization IS? a good idea!  Why do we not need freedoms as much as we need revenues.  This also brings fuel consumption into view.... we could track its use and the vehicle that uses it.  If a person has a large vehicle, or non-efficient vehicle they could be tracked by which vehicle receives the fuel and the amount used to allow an additional tax for their waste.

I'm sure that I can think of more ways to gain revenues to benefit not only the American people, but the rest of the world with our examples.  Maybe one of you can also think of a way that we can help stimulate the economy with another tax, or fine that would go directly into the budget of our well-meaning and efficient government.  I truly hope that I have given everyone a new perspective on this situation.

Those are all good ideas for over controlling/micro managing the country, but just imagine the new jobs created.  You would have to have computers larger than the combined computers of the world for each item.  And just think of all of the portable pill serial number readers that would be needed.  Not only that, all of the extra pharmacists needed to record the serial numbers on the pills.  But, Obama the Messiah would pay for all of the added costs so that we would not have to worry.

Excellent point to turn the tables during a discussion of 'sensible' gun laws.

Throw some real nonsense in the equation.

Every single person that has eaten fresh fruit has, or will die. I give exception to one, maybe two people, but I do not have their diet schedule on my desk and do not want to bring religion into the fruit serialization delima crisis; for it will do nothing but complicate things.
Until every seed bearing edible plant is serializedI will not sleep soundly.
Shout it from the rooftops. Serialize your satsumas. Register your bananas. SBR your apples. Fill out your tomatoes (yes, tomatoes count....)

Dont make us get the FDA involved.

my lightheaded comment aside. Imagine collecting data from all those cigarette butts found on the side of a major interstate, sending fines, and DNA research of the actual purchasers DNA and DNA witing the saliva remains.
Whole new realms of pointless government jobs would be created.

Im pretty sure a majority of toilet paper users have kicked the bucket, still some are barely hanging on. Lets do some statistical research on that.
We are going to have to redsign spetic system altogether and write more advanced city building codes so that ever sheet of biodegradable paper has a readable scannable serial code.

Been away for awhile, mentally....  Be nice TBS!  I too worry about giving someone a bad idea.  As with all other things though, they seem really crazy at first, but later the shock value is gone and they get validity.  Hopefully, mentioning these crazy things will avert some stupidity later and restablish some reality now.  Just look at the political stage with the presidents:  Kennedy, don't mention it; Reagan its all good; Clinton we can twist any information; Bush the top is all that matters; now.... I don't know what to think.  Just seems that money/wealth/connections are all that is important.  I am content to not be in the 'in' crowd, however, I am not pleased that laws have replaced rights, IE:  the Bill of....

Has everyone seen the JPFO's personality paper?  Here's a link:

if anyone truly believes we have rights anymore, just try to exercise one when your opinion isn't the "correct" one.

inalienable rights were a neat concept while they lasted.
