Just looking for input. I know he wants an A3 upper M4 style gun. I have a bushy patrolman carbine I like. But I didn't know if there was something better. M4 feed ramps necissary? My gun runs fine. MP tested bolts? I can buy the upper and lower seperate and save some but I want the finish to match and a reasonable fit,,, doesn't have to be RRA tight.

What about a midlength gas system?

Anything I should watch out for?

Thursdays are M4 feedramps day

I'd say any carbine that comes from a reputable MFG ought to serve him fine.
I personally like midlength gas systems, but they are not neccesary at all. I'd say the biggest option will be optics or irons.

Only have one brother...You know him! I tried to get him out to speed steel but he's not into gun games just ccw. In fact he just told me I had a sickness with firearms, I said its way beyond that!

I have a mossy 590 but I think an AR would be more versitile, I did mention a Remmy 870 if he didn't want to shell out for an AR.
