Man shoots burglar coming through window.  A Minneapolis man shot and wounded a suspected would-be burglar Monday morning after he climbed through a broken window.

Police said the suspect broke into a home in the 3000 block of 16th Avenue S. about 9 a.m. The man, who was living in the lower-level duplex, confronted the burglar and fired several shots, said Capt. Rich Stanek.

A surprisingly netural story from the Red Star,  no anti-gun slant, yet.

Reading into it a bit further...

The news report said last night that the house had had several problems/calls for police before.  Quite possibly there was some illiegal activity (hookers, blow) going on at the premises.  I'm all for shooting a hoodlum breaking into someone's house with intent to do them harm, but have mixed feelings if the shooter/homeowner is a felon in possession of a firearm.

Don't know the whole story, just speculating...
