snorkel bob, you shouldnt have to hard a time finding what your looking for. Usually lots of holsters(new and used) and reloading gear. Troy I'll keep my eyes open for you, I always go on friday and saturday and then it just depends on how I feel or if I even have to go back sunday. I set up at that show for years, had to stop due to some health issues. Im taking a Bushmaster AR  and a shotgun, Im looking for a new in the box Norinco preban folder to go with my Polytech 762.  Ive seen alot of them lately for about $850. Hope to see you guys there. Not sure yet what I'll be wearing....I'll post it it tomorrow.

It's almost impossible to find a motel room in Reno for just one weekend night (most want you to stay both Friday & Saturday). I was thinking, though, it might be easier to find a room on the "less traveled" outskirts of town, or perhaps even further away (say, within 20 miles of the show).

Can anyone recommend one? Needn't be fancy, just reasonable and clean.

Many thanks in advance.

I went today and was looking for a new Norinco folder, there were about 5 there last show, this show none. I stumbled upon a nice looking Norino preban I did buy..... .223 caliber with 5 30 round mags and 1 40 round mag plus the bayonet. looks to be in great condition. Paid $725.00 out the door. I'll be going in the morning again, I'll have a black shirt on with little designs on it and I'll have a short barrel 12 gauge shotgun I want to sell. Also took one of my ARs today..sold it pretty quick. Not a bad show really.

Moof... you can always find a room somewhere, lots of smaller motels and such all over Reno. look up motels in Reno Nevada on Google and you will find a ton of them.

Im a big guy 6'2" and about 275, hard to miss me.

I went, I saw, I returned...disappointed and empty handed. Odd, I've been to that show too many times to count and always come back with something (and see several other things I want but can't afford). Perhaps it's just me, but this year the show reminded me of the loot from an inner city gun "buy back" program --- nothing but non or barely functioning junk. No fooling. Other than one custom built Howa .223, I saw absolutely nothing I'd be proud to own. Oddly missing, too, were the standard fares; I saw only a few modern 1911's, zero HK pistols and only one Sig 220 --- well worn, going for an amazing $850.

Oh well...at least I came back with a new appreciation for my existing collection.

Went to the show on friday, spent all day there, thought I'd get to see the good stuff early before the weekend crowd. I was disapointed. Didn't see anything that jumped out at me. Also the prices, wow, were pretty high for what was offered. I never been to a gun show were I saw so many Colt Pythons. Must have been over 150 of them at the show. All were pretty pricey, but then again Pythons were always pricey.

I did make a decent score on friday, Im the type of guy that has an idea of what I want and what Im looking for so I just dismiss alot of the other stuff. True there were no 1911s to speak of except some WW2 overpriced pistols. Sometimes its a good show and sometimes its just ok. Depends on if you find what your looking for. I always buy a 3 day pass($12) because I'll go on friday and saturday, occasionally on sunday but usually by sunday Im just flat tired of walking around. I only live about 6 miles from the place so its convenient. You really never know what kind of show its going to be untill you walk in the door.
