According to the BLM rangers, it is
legal to shoot on Federal property outside of the disposal boundary and
outside of the Red Rock National Conservation Area.  Maps showing the
current disposal boundary are available at our office, I've also attached a
link to the map on our website.  For further information, you can call our
office at 515-5000 and ask to speak with a BLM law enforcement ranger.

Thanks for the info.  Next time I'm in Las Vegas (this November), I plan to shoot on BLM lands as always, this map will help.  I can visit the office, too.  Nevada is full of BLM lands to shoot on, especially up north.  I have a place outside Fallon where you can pretty much shoot targets as far away as you can see...all by yourself.
