How much did you pay for it?

I only bought and registered Post bans and prayed for the AWB Sunset.

I should have bought more magazines though...

Got one of my pre-ban Colts in 98 at the Great Western for 1100.

All fell into the Mojave River, though.

The thing that kills me is that I know a guy who has two postban 20" Bushmasters, and he hasn't shot them since probably 2000 (when he bought them).  I know he doesn't ever shoot them, and I would buy them from him in 2 shakes of a lamb's tail....if I were legally allowed.  God damnit!

Nope.  Got a pre-ban Eagle Arms EA-15 at Turners for $1200.  CAR barrel  and aluminum collapsible stock included.  The years of enjoyment shooting it were well worth it.

I couldn't justify paying three times more for a pre-ban, that's still only semi-auto.  My first AR was $550 at Turners back in 95.  It was a 20" Eagle arms.  I also bought a M17 Bushmaster and a $100 stripped lower that's now a post AWB rifle with all the bells and whistles.  I remember some people paying outrageous amounts for pre-bans towards the CA ban.  I'm glad most of you enjoyed your pre-ban rifle purchase, but you could have had two or more post-bans to shoot, that would be as good as pre bans now.  These Bans are really screwing with our lives, and now we've got a new one with this AB50.

No but I'm kicking myself for buying two postban uppers last year. Now I'm stressing over replacing the front sight towers and threading the barrels! I can't do it myself!

You know that near-bottomless pit that Gandalf the Grey fell into at the end of the Lord of the Rings?  Well, that's where I dropped mine.  D'oh!

I bought my pre-bans before they were labled as such. So, I paid what everyone was paying for an AR15s at the time.

I got into shooting pretty late (early 1990s), but before most of the crappy laws. Paid between $600-$900 for my pre-bans. I purchased a limited edition Colt (first flattop in '91) & one Eagle Arms just before the '94 ban at the higher end of the scale.

I meant a preban at a preban price. After the ban.  For like $1200 per rifle.  Now that they're all worth about the same as postbans...

Nevermind.
