Where were you when Bush was sinking our country into a Police State?
Socialism and Communism are so much worse than Fascism.
What? Please explain this to me.
What is there to explain? The thought before the highlighted statement is basically stating that GWB was instituting fascism, while very few of these right wing nut jobs spoke out against it. But now that the socialists are in charge, they feel a need to open their mouth and complain about the wrongs being instituted by the evil Obama.
Look, Obama is bad thing, but so was Bush. These people speak of the violation of our holy constitution but don't care about anything other than the guns. So it makes their whole arguement invalid.
Okay. Thank you for the explanation. Your post was not entirely clear as it could be interpreted to support Communism by way of sarcasm.
Aside from that, two things. First, you do realize that socialism is a core tenent of both Fascism and Communism?
Secondly, Bush was a lot of things....but he was no Fascist. I don't, and I didn't, care for him, but he was no Fascist. While he did place the United States and it's citizens above all else, which I bleieve he should as the President, he did not exalt a single race or promote cults of unity, strength and purity. Some would say that he was an imperialist based upon the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, it is important to remember that we had just experienced the worst attack since Pearl Harbor. Like it or not, we were and are at war. He did not advocate the creation of an authoritarian government run by a single-party. It was virtually impossible, at least until the Obama adminstriation and the main-stream media's love affair with him, for a president, particularly Bush, to indoctrinate our society. I don't believe that I ever saw him try. Bush never proposed the rejection of mulitculturalism or a race. And not until after the election, did he go along with, what was in effect, nationalizing any American business or segment of the economy. Obama and the Democrats where on the way in and they wanted TARP. I absolutely disagree with him on this, but it is what it is. He was very conciliatory....and I do fault him for that.
I think that we throw around the F-word far too much and it results in dumbing down debates.
These people speak of the violation of our holy constitution but don't care about anything other than the guns.
I entirely agree with you on this point.
