Preferably with Norrell's stuff, it seems pretty tough.
I've got an absolutely perfect unfired Remington Remington 742 in 30-06 that was bought in 1968. Well, it would be perfect if it wasn't left in some old "high-end" rifle case from the same era (Elephant hide on the outside, and some stupid fuzzy stuff right up against the rifle). There's absolutely no pitting or anything, but about 30% of the finish is just plain ... gone! From laying around in the same case for almost four decades, I guess.

Hey Wilson...I do the Norrell's...I ain't local but if you are coming down this way, let me know..
In fact, if anyone in the Southern Indiana area needs some Norrell's shot on their toys, IM me... I'm in Borden, Indiana and I have use Norrell's on AR's and pistols....... We can work something out... |

I do lots of refinishing using Norrell's. I am in Central Indiana and I work part time at Albro Guns in just south of 465 on Emerson. I am there on Monday from 3:30pm to 6:30. I would be more than happy to refinish it for you. Let me know.

Chris Conlon is just south of Lafayette. He does Duracoat, Park, Cold Blue and powder coat and others.
He has done Duracoat and Park jobs for me and is excellent. His site: Chris Conlon Slide done in Duracoat.

Dog1 just refinished my RRA 9mm carbine in Colt grey. He does excellent work and I got my rifle back in 2 days.

Wow, we have got some full blown competition for business now!!!

I have had five different firearms done by Car now and he does great work, The finishes have all come out nice and smooth and he knows how to run clean the old finish off without disturbing any lines or markings.
Just a plug for you brother,  This is some of Car's work that he has done for me. Please note the After and before of the HK and how crisp the lettering remained.        The serial isnt real I had two digits photo chopped but you can see clearly the other number are sat . |

There is a company out of Avon, KRC Refinishing that has a table at the Indy 1500 that does some very nice work.
I know several guys that have had work done. No complaints! One guy have apporx 80 M1 Garand Part Parked for about $48 or so. |
