For anyone going to Speed Steel at ARPC this Sunday, the gate code is 786536. Paul says this will be the code each month for Speed Steel.

Might not be a bad item to add to the FAQ up top.

You know if you had not posted that code I bet 20 that my standing when the scores come out would have been higher!

I think I will bring 350 rounds to be safe sunday!

I dawned on me the other day that Paul said there would be a gate code........and then I never heard what the hell the code was! So, I gave him a call. He said it would be easy to remember......its the word STOLEN based on a phone keypad

guess this whole code thing did not work so smoothly huh?  Did paul say the code was stolen or that someone stole the code?

Well when scores come out if you look way down at the bottom of the  list you will see my name.  I was shooting a sig 226 very badly!  Although I shot 30 less rounds then last month so I think my times will be better!

Hell.....missed you again. Were you on squad 1 or 3? Rucker and I were on 2.....the one that took FOREVER!! We had already had 11 or so on our squad, and 4 of those shooting 2 guns. We didn't get out of there until almost 2:00.

I was on squad 3.  Ours went pretty smoothly only one guy had two guns although I think I shot enough with one to have two good shooters finish!

They tell me if I would aim I would do better?

Best thing to do I found is go out somewhere and set up targets at 10, 15, 20, and 35 yards. Shoot slow and deliberate until you can consistently see your POI versus your POA. The first time out with any steel at 20yds, I got hosed, because I'd been practicing at 10 and 15. Once I had my POA dialed in at 20, I moved to 35.

I was one of the guys on squad 2 that was shooting two guns. It was my first time shooting speed steel and I had a great time. My grandson was shooting a 10/22, he can't wait for the next match. Thanks to all that made us feel so comfortable even though it did seem like it was taking forever...

You had the 1911 and 9mm AR?  I had the GSG5 and HK USP45.

Usually we are done by noon, but our squad was waaaaay to big this time

Yep that was me. Although the AR belongs to my buddy that was having the gun/ammo trouble with his 1911. We'll get that figured out before next time.

Next time I'll be alittle more relaxed since I've got the first match in the books and mingle around and introduce my self to you guys.

See you then,

Randy
