AR15.com has a Friday night weekly net that runs a couple hours through Echolink/IRLP. Members from all over the country hop on and bs with one another over the radio. The format is a typical net with check-ins, trivia, then a round table. We get about 10-20 members each Friday from around the country. We're not curing cancer or solving the world's problems, but it's a good opportunity to try out your equipment while talking to other AR15.com members.
Friday, 1730 MST Weekly. (Updated, earlier time due to daylight savings) Here's a link to the thread in the HAM subforum. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_10_22/669456_.html If you have your bug-out baofengs/scanners, but don't have a license, you can still listen in around Phoenix. Punch one of these freqs into your baofengs/scanners. I'll activate one of them at 1730 each Friday night. UHF: 447.5750 or as a back-up: 441.1000 If you are licensed: 1730 MST, Echolink 336037 ( Conference *DCF-ARC*) IRLP: 9257 If you miss tonight, it will be here the same time next week. If you have questions, or need help, reply in this thread and we'll get you squared away. Join us next week! (Updated 4/17/17) ------------------------------------------------------------ Arizona Weekly Net Schedule - 2m & 70cm The goal is to try to compile an active list of nets throughout the week so you don't have to work very hard to find other people on the air. This is a work in progress. If you have a recurring net or event you would like to add, reply in this thread and I'll add it. Once again, if you aren't licensed *yet*, tune into these frequencies on your baofeng/scanner. Some of the content is pretty dry, but the longer you listen, the more you learn, and the better you can troubleshoot issues (from a training standpoint). Reply here or message me with scheduling or general questions. Daily ALL DAY - 2m Simplex 146.520. Nope, not mine, but their coverage is pretty good compared to the simplex/backyard nodes around the valley.
