I'm new to SC and I have a few guns I'd like to sell to fund a better gun. I asked a gunshop today, they said they'd only give me like 200 or so for a g19 3rd gen, I feel like I can do better. Anyone ever sold a pistol to a pawn shop? Total rip off to be avoided, or fair price? I don't really know anyone down here yet so selling face to face seems out. I guess I could list it in the EE, but I'm unsure how the process of shipping a gun goes and I'm looking for the easiest route

I would avoid selling to a pawn shop. Some gun shops sell on consignment, might want to check local shops out for that.

I agree with the recommendation for the EE. You can put in the ad face to face only to avoid shipping via a FFL.

Depending on condition, number of mags etc, I think you should be able to get close to 400 for it.

I can understand selling lesser guns to buy a better one but a G19?

They offered you 200$ for a gen3 19. Aim surplus has gen4 g21 with night sights police trade ins for 349$. It sucks but you’re not going to do that much better. I’m guessing consignment fees are probably at least 10% at gun shops.

If i were you Iron, i'd go to Armslist. .i kno you gotta spend 6 or 7 bucks now to do it, but i've had pretty good success with sales and trades through that site for years now... and i live in lexington just so you have an idea of where im at while selling and what not.
