I have been known to carry my North American Arms Guardian .32 ACP loaded with Glasers

I'm gonna start to carry my P-22, not for people but for pit bulls and mean ass dogs, I've almost gotten attacked a few times. My regular carry is a G27.

If it's shorts and t-shirt weather, it's my KelTec P-32. Anything warmer and I now step up to a Kahr MK9.

Considering moving up to a KelTec P3AT but I want to try before I buy - and that never seems to work out for me.

Ironically vicious dogs are the reason I bought my first handgun years ago

My very first carry gun was a .380 AMT backup. Good gun for the size, but I later said screw it and went for a kel-tec p-11, and now I flip flop between that and my G-26.

By the way Logansdad, you may want to switch ammo. Every reputable test I have seen has proven the Glasers to be next to useless. Go to tacticalforums.com and see what they say about them. They may also have a suggestion for a good alternative.

My daily carry is a Glock 26, but I have been known to carry a tiny North American Arms 22 when necessary.

I also have some Hydra Shok hollowpoints

North Armerican Arms Mini Revolver in 22LR - as a fob on my keychain. - No one took it seriously, thought it was a joke.

Good luck! The pitbulls I see in the news have needed to be shot quite a bit by police with more than .22lr.

I've tried smaller but my all time favorite is a CZ-85 IWB with a spare mag and both mags loaded with 127 gr +p speer GDHP's.  When not carrying that I go with a CZ-75 compact.  Most people don't even recognize a light print and if they do say something just tell 'em it's you colostomy bag.  Nobody wants to talk about a bag of shit taped to your side.

Smallest gun I would reasonably carry as my only defense weapon would be something small framed in 9mm (like S&W CS9) which is actually my current backup gun to my .45 S&W 457.  If I were in a situation where I had to carry the smith 9 as my primary, I would probably pick up an NAA pocket .380 or one of the Seecamps as a "just in case" cushion.

Wolfpack, I'm not cutting on your carry tactics, but anything a 22 cal can do a 40 cal can do better (1st shoot kills).  Good choice with the G27

I’m with Face_N_The_Crowd, a S&W 340 PD is pricey but can be carried everyday and that is the key!  The gun you have with you the day you need it is priceless.  I’m not a revolver fan ideally but the 340PD is a great combination.  Who would not want a M4 the day of a gunfight but who carries a M4 everyday?  Size and WEIGHT does mater and increases or decreases our commitment to carrying the weapon.  Spend the money

Smallest ever carry is 38spl- Taurus M85, but never really carry it. Usually carry .45, not so much because of .45 factor but slim 1911 factor. Well ok, .45 factor isn't turning me away from it by any means.

There used to be a crack head that hung out near my subway stop entrance; she'd get close up to people, lift up her shirt and show 'em the shit bag and ask them for a quarter. She got lots of quarters, I always thought she should have been going for dollars.

Way off topic but I got a flashback and couldn't help myself.

I just bought a Titanium 337PD 38 Special +P.  I opt to carry this for everyday use and leave at home my Kimber and two 10 round mags.  I don't need 29 rounds of ammo with me everyday.  In fact, unless I'm on a protective detail, carrying that much firepower might look bad in court god forbid I have to shoot a goblin.

would carry a carry just about anything with a range from 5' to 25' anything closer and if you know your body you don't need a pistol

My primary gun is always my Colt 1911 Series 70. I also carry a BUG, and it's a Kel-Tec P3AT.
So, the smallest I will rely on is a .380 caliber. But only in a backup situation. I prefer a .45 at all times.

Smallest for primary carry would be .40 for me. For backup I keep my pitbull at my side. he doesn't have to be concealed though.

I carried a 21A quite a bit while working undercover.  Never had a badguy complain that my gun was too small when I pointed it at him!

Any ammo you like for it in that mode ?

I carry CCI Stingers in mine.

A charter arms .38sp with 2" barrel loaded with XTP hollow points. Its small and very easy to carry. The XTP's give it a good punch.
Usally its my CZ75DB and 124gr gold dots.
I know my CZ inside out and feel comfortable with it.Just lately I have been fondling my P90 in .45 but I need to have more range time with it so I am one with the gun so to speak.
