I noticed that problem when chambering my "defense" ammo over and over in my Beretta. I solved that by setting the gun up for bedside duty manually. I lock the slide open, drop the first round in the hole by hand, close the slide, then insert the full mag. Keeps my nice ammo in the hole ready to go without setting them back plus gives me the full 11 rounds H!
