I absolutely fell in love with with a p2000 in .40 with the rear decocker, sa/da. Full size usp's never fir my hand well and I prefered the feel of the p2000 to the usp40c. It pointed better as well. I may buy it tomorrow. The store is selling it NIB with night sights and 2 10 rd mags (New York) for $850. Is this a good price. AI date code. School me hk fans

In New York that is probably a fair price.  They are new around my area for $700 or so, and that is considered a "fair price".

I wonder if finding one online and transfering it works out in my favor. How's the recoil? I'm used to 1911s and have had a sig p229 in the past in .40 that was low in the reoil dept. Anything I should know about this gun?

Is that $700 with night sights? This gun has night sights for $850. Any opinions. On the p2000 or advice?

Recoil would be fine, the price I quoted was without night sights.

I have 2 of the same one you are looking at (P2000 v3 in .40). I will tell you it is a bit more snappy than a 9 or 45. It is very accurate, and 800 was the average price last time I looked. I paid a little more for one of mine, but it also has a HK factory sig .357 barrel so that I can change calibers if I want (just a barrel swap is all that is needed). I've never had any issues with either gun, and I CCW the 40.

The P2000 is a great gun.  I've had zero problems with mine.  It's accurate, reliable, great ergos, and slightly slimmer than a Glock 9/40.  I paid $650 NIB from CDNN several months back.

thanks kcabbage. i'm heading to the store at around 1pm today. i was just wondering how snappy the recoil is as compared to a sig p229 in .40. that gun was very soft shooting. the p2k fit my hands even better though and i thought that might make it even more manageable but i don't know for sure. i was supposed to be looking for a sig p226 since i have preban mags for one. the p2k surprised me and they didnt have a p226.

I bought it! Got the gun with night sights, 3 mags and 120 rds of Am Eagle for $910 out the door. Hank at T and T Gunnery rules!
