I was looking for another .45 figure I would check out my friends 21 and that thing is a monster, too huge to conceal, is the 30 as fat?

same in thickness, but short in overall length.

If you want a better gun for carry and a smaller grip try the USP45F. It's much better than a Glock 21 in many ways. For one it's based on a .40 platform while the Glock is based on a 9mm platform. I like my HK so much i'm even thinking of selling my 1911. It's also very popular with the SEALs for off duty carry.

I agree, the 21 is a giant! The 30 is much better but is still sort of chunky for me. I second taking a look at the USP45f.

I know people that conceal a 30 with no problem infact I almost just bought one for that purpose but I found a SA 1911 Micro Compact I fell in love with instead.

But the 30 is nice because you get 10+1 out of it and it is a good shooter. I carried a Taurus PT145 for a while just slightly smaller than a 30 didnt have any problems with concealing it and it was 10+1 but I couldnt trust it any more.

the time I shot my brother's G21 I didn't think it was all that big. didn't seem much larger than my dad's 1911
I have a G30. I'm 5'8" 140lbs and can conceal it in an sidearmor iwb with a button down shirt over top, usually unbuttoned
I don't consider myself to have large hands and have no problem holding it.
also the G30 can use G21 preban mags

I bought my 21 and 30 together. The 21 mags fit in the 30 and I planned to use it as a back up to the 21. They are the exact same thickness. If you want smaller the glock 36 is a single stack 45acp. Same action basicly as the 30 but about the same thinness as the 9mm models.

That's because it's not. It also weighs less fully loaded than an Empty 1911.

Get out a dial caliper and measure the wides part of a 1911 and the widest part of a Glock 21. The 1911 is heavier, thicker, & longer.
