has anybody here tried the buffer tech. guide rod with the buffering bushing on it?  is it worth it or junk?  I am looking to soften the recoil on my 96 a little.  maybe a +2 lbs. wolff recoil spring will have the same effect but cheaper.  by no means do I want to lose the reliability of the gun.

I used to use it on my 92FS just to prevent frame bashing but didn't notice any difference in felt recoil.  I've found the Blackjack buffer to be more effective.

I'vee put 1400 rounds so far on my first Blackjack buffer and it still looks like new.

The buffer's make no difference in felt recoil, IMO. As stated, they are to prevent frame battering.

A stronger recoil spring will make the slide go forward faster than stock rating, thus kinda defeating the purpose, IMO.

wondering if anyone has given thought to the new recoil buffer the 90-two has. Anyone have comments on this?
