I reassembled my Glock 20 and mistakenly left out the recoil spring assembly.
Now the dissasembly switch does not work and I can't pull the gun appart.

Anyone made this blunder before, and if so, how did you correct it?

Hopefully I won't have to bring this to my gunsmith.

Thanks in advance.

Lock the slide to the rear and remove the striker assy.  (firing pin), it'll then allow you to remove the slide without resistance.  glockmeister.com/slidedis.shtml Clean the slide out while your at it.  You'll be amazed how much crap gets in there and into the extractor area.

gotm4's method will work or...

ENSURE THE GUN IS EMPTY- (I mention this because at times it's easy to forget import steps!)

Line the slide up with the frame as it would be when correctly assembled... Pull trigger.

The slide is hanging up on the connector- once the striker moves to the fired position it'll lose contact and the slide will move forward as normal with the take down lever pulled down.

Hope that helps.
