Guys,
I had ordered a battle pack of .380 from Southern Ohio Guns (SOG.com) which was a a sealed 500 rd pack of German-Dynamit Noble 50 Rd./  $5.29/ box

I was expecting plinking ammo, FMJ ball, what I got was a battle pack of 90 gr. Hollow points!  This is some bad ass sh#t.  It's marked 9C DAG-AB.

It fed through my Bersa 380 Thunder like sh#t though a goose.  I just ordered another battlepack and @$5.29, you can not find better ammo.

It is so rare to open a box and have a pleasant surprise…

Life is good!

How hot is the stuff? Was it meant for subguns? Too hot for a handgun?

I could not tell the difference in recoil from Gold Dots but I'm guessing this is going to be a mil spec or police load. It does not have a NATO head stamp.
With shipping to central TX it came to $60 for 500 rds. in a sealed battle pack

I have a Manurhin Walther PPk that I have been looking at ammo for. This sounds like the good stuff.

$60 for shipping for 500 rounds - that is steep!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, let's try that math again!

1 box of 50 rounds - $5.29
battle pack = 500 rounds, or 10 50-round boxes
so
10 X 5.29 = $52.90

Total cost plus shipping = $60

60.00 - 52.90 = 7.10 converted into U.S. Dollars = $7.10 for shipping

60 / 500 = 12¢ per round

7.10/10 = .071 or rounded down to 7¢

.07 + 5.29 = $5.36 per box of 50 rounds

Feeling better about it now?

now...if he REALLY did pay $60 just for shipping...

When Maddog_44 said 'With shipping..." I read it to mean the total cost of the ammo and shipping together was $60.

I'm all for it.  Unfortunately I live a bit farther away than Texas

$60 was my total cost for 500 rds to my door... Sealed in a battle pack that you can store for a long time, although I'm guessing this has been stored for some time and has gone past a sell date determined by the mil/pd.

One side note, I picked up some of the brass after my test fire.  All primers and bullets were sealed for wet weather but these are Berden primed.  You can't reload them.

SOG's shipping was very reasonable.
