Hobbs, if you can wait for a couple of days I know a couple of guys who is close to the Det and I'll find out from them. I'm going to guess they used Krylon but I'll find out for sure for you

I'm just looking for 100% authenticity.  I like GunKote, but I also recall hearing the DET uses Krylon.  Thanks for all the input guys.

As far as 100% authentic, anyone know where to get the correct SF for the Dawson rail?

Yup, get it from Dawson.  I got a qoute from them the other day for the light and the rail.  Unfortunately I erased it, but it was four hundred something (in the high 4's, if memory serves).  That's not bad considering how rare the military light is and that the rail kit alone is around $120.  I guess you could try SF directly, but Dawson has a few in stock.

RMPSTRAT,  thanks for the info.  As always, you're a true gentleman.

Thanks Hobbs, SF wasn't much help .mil ONLY they said, I'll try Dawson themselves.

Actually when the Kimbers were originally delivered to the Det they came with the standard Kimber rubber grips, from there the Det installed the Gunners... And they have always been Coyote. Only recently has Strider began the OD and Black Gunners
