I pretty much kicked the habit. Working at a brewery for 10 years, it was a way of life. Now when the boss follows me around at work, I go to the bar,to get away, he does not follow me there. Basic rum & coke works for me. (cant stand coke straight)

Jim Beam and Coke only, can't even remember the last time I drank a beer, but I think Klinton was on his first term.

I don't know why, but I sort of lost the taste for alcohol a few years back. I dunno, I just got to where I didn't like it. I am, however, a root beer freak; if that stuff were intoxicating, I'd STAY sh*t-faced!

Well, since this topic started, I've quit drinking.  Now it's water or Mountain Dew.

I was getting to the point that I was becoming() Instant Asshole:  Just add alcohol.

As angry as I've been lately, adding alcohol to the mix is not a good idea.

Booze - Captain Morgan Parrot Bay.  Captain Morgan is my Staff Psychologist (at least I'm a happy drunk - but it takes too damn long to get there...)

Regular stuff - Green Tea - either Chinese of Japanses (decaf preferred.)  I've been drinking it hot or sold for months now, and I actually FEEL healthier as a result!  Green Tea has proven ability for helping to flush your various "systems" - but I still go to the better half to get my pipes cleared...

A note on diet colas - most are sweetened with Aspartame.  One of the princible metabolites of Aspartame (byproducts/end products of metabolic processes acting upon it) is Formalehyde!  No way on God's Green Earth will you get me to drink Diet ANYDAMNTHING anymore...

I realise that the diabetics among us are limited in choices, but you should dtill try to stay away from Aspartame (trade name - NutraSweet!) if at all possible...

I find it further telling that the FDA will give a ringing endorsement to Aspartame, but nothing at all to herbal remedies (they work!  I don't like keeping the pharmaceutical companies in business anymore than I absolutely HAVE to!) or to that useful-for-centuries antibiotic - Silver!  No resistance by microbes, no side effects, and it has been used for hundreds of years...  Conventional antibiotics are responsible for "superbugs" - resistant Staph and Strep, Gonorrhea that is resistant to Penicillin, its derivatives, AND tetracycline, and others...
