I have a USPc .40 and I have been working with some snap caps to really get the trigger pull on this thing burned in to my muscle memory. But I have noticed how sloppy the trigger is now that I have been paying attention to it with the snap caps in. Is there any way to improve the way the trigger breaks? When in SA there seems to be a fair amount of play or slack in the trigger. I have learned to live with it and can get pretty decent groups even with blazer brass...is it worth trying to have some work done to improve the trigger or should I just leave well enough alone?

Bill Springfield  or   Bruce Gray  These are the 2  best out there.

No offense to those who like him, but Bill Springfield did work on my USP & I couldn't tell an iota's difference for my $50.

IMO Springfield simply does a fluff and buff of the ignition parts, while GGI will do a true action job.  There's a reason GGI's work costs 5x as much as Bill's.
