The 5 pound connecotrs give about a 6 pound pull, and the 3.5 gives about 4.5 pounds trigger pull.  I have never had an 8 pound connector, so I can't comment on how high those actually are.

thanks

how does that compare with lets say a S&W d/a wheelgun

[#6]
Not the same since my 629 and 686 have worked triggers that break at 2.5 single action, and around 6lb double action without stacking.

The Glock is more of a light take up until you hit the wall, then the break (rod break feel is dependent on the trigger job).

If you want more of conventional wheel gun trigger pull, then you want the NY trigger spring to increase the take up pull weight (not a stacking feel, just more resistance on the initial take up).

What in the Hell would compel you to leave a loaded gun where a child can get at it?  Darwin had a name for aninals as stupid as that..........................................................................................................extinct!!

My sons were both well trained by age 12 and had been extensively briefed on what to do in almost any situation while left alone for short periods. My mother once questioned the practice and I reminded her that both boys were much better shots than her and could think more clearly in a crisis.

My sister told me recently of something that happened when I was 15 and she was only 13: Our Father (now deceased) was in the hospital for a heart surgery in a one of the rough areas of Birmingham. He called and asked to speak to my sister and instructed her to slip his 9mm into her purse in case something happened during the trip from the car to the hospital. She asked why not her Mother or me. He replied, your Mother would panic and get you all killed and your Brother is just too damn mean to carry a pistol....yet. So the kid carried his S&W model 59 and we never knew. I know she would have handled things if we would have had trouble as she regularly shot the thing since she was about 8 or 9 and who would have suspected a petite little girl.
No, I don't condone kids carrying pistols but I think they should know how to use one at as young an age as they show a proper level of maturity.

I know "Hollyweird" would never make such a movie but I would like to see a remake of Home Alone set in the rural south where little "Kevin" grabbed Daddy's AR-15 and made swiss cheese of the BG's. It would be less far fetched than all of the tar and feathers, falling tool chests and giant spiders!

The Red Ryder movie was "A Christmas Story" made in 1983 I think. The little boy "Ralphie" did manage to wreak havoc on an imaginary gang of bandits in one of his frequent daydreams. I always steered the boys clear of BB guns due to their tendency to ricochet when shot at a hard surface.
Although the "kids" were almost young adults I have always been partial to Red Dawn.
Nothing better than smoking a few commies! It seems that Hollywood has stopped making the type of movies where the good guys fight back and prevail, remember all the Death wish flicks of the early  80's? I guess the good guys should set the thugs up in a new Jimmy Carter house and help them get their welfare checks started!

Hopefully, nobody posting here is ignorant enough to believe that the addition of a NY trigger spring to a Glock will prevent a kid of any age from pulling the trigger.  Now, it is possible that the kid will be disgusted with the lousy, revolver-like trigger pull, but he'll still pull the trigger, if he wants to.

Everone Should KNOW
THAT THE SAFETY IS YOUR BRAIN

And a Double action trigger is harder to pull

If a 4 year old Happen to come along and Find A Handgun God Forbid
I would think a D/A pull would help BETTER than a Single action pull!

Now my Kid wont have this problem! Taught all her life!
And Ive Held a Permit for 23 yaers or more

But you Always read about a kid in the News Paper who shot himself or somebody

BTW my Daughter cant pull back any of my Handguns P229,SW 637,SW6906

All have a D?A pull but she is only 10yrs old

A D/A is in itself LIKE a safety

Remember the Head is the MAIN safety

There are no double-action trigger pulls available for Glocks.
