I'm expecting a new USP anyday now. Where, if anywhere, should I lubricate it? I put a very thin coat of lithium grease between the frame and slide of my SIG P226. I have just over 2000 rounds through it with zero sign of where so I believe this helps tremendously. Any opinions?

Since it is new you will have a manual.  Mainly just follow the directions in it.  In short, I use Militec-1 grease on the rails, barrel opening, and chamber hood area under the slide.  Everywhere else I use Militec-1 oil, just a touch or 1/2 drop in all areas that move.  You can use CLP also and it is thinner and gets down into the tight places better than Militec-1 does.  I also use Militec-1 oil in the bore followed by a dry patch.
