I just received my TLR-1 and noticed the red tag in the battery bay.It said to use several brands of CR123A batteries, but Surefire were NOT on the list.I assume that this is because of being their competion. The Streamlight batteries that came with it,and the Surefire that I already have are both lithium. The warning says that the light will either explode or catch fire if unapproved batteries are used.I am quite sure this is B.S.,but was curious if anyone has used Surefire's in a Streamlight.Thanks.

IIRC...SureFire batteries are made by Duracell on contract for SureFire...

It's because of their competition. SF batteries will be fine.

The SF will work out great, thats all I use and they last longer than anything else Ive put in there. Go straight through SF to get them in the multipack. I usually pick up 2 at a time. Enjoy!
