Thinking about getting one in .40 S&W. Haven't shot one yet. What does everyone think about them that have shot them.

I haven't shot the XD40, but it's on my wish list, right below the XD45 that's coming out in a few months.

I have a HS2000, same gun as the Springfield XD9. I like it alot, or else I wouldn't want to buy its bigger brothers.

I loved my XD 40 that I breifly had. Am saving for another as we speak. Very nice gun. For the money, its a downright steal.

I dropped all my 40S&W and 357SiGs but only because I couldn't find a justification for two more calibers. Running out of room to stock ammo as is.

But I have a Gen 1 HS2000, one of the first batch imported and it has been fantastic. The frames were designed initially to handle 40S&W, 357SiG and 45acp so it is not an add-on caliber. Go for it. I don't think that you can get as much gun for your money anywhere else.

The XD40 is a GREAT combat pistol. Ergos, accuracy, reliability, quality, and a decent trigger, it's all there. The loaded chamber and striker cocked indicators are a nice touch (especially in the dark). I'd buy another in a heartbeat. Can't wait for the XD45!
