I went with a buddy of mine who wants to step up a little to the gunshop today. He has a Loaded from SA right now. Anyway I thought we could look at TRP's and we went to a shop that tends to have a decent 1911 selection.

Long story short, $1499? Is that right for your local dealers? I was told this was due to a recent price increase and the last wholesale flyer I have is 3 years old.

Gunbroker.

SS TRP $1200 shipped if you watch daily, or $1300ish if you need one tomorrow. Prices for the Armory Coat are $25-50 more on average but also can be as little as $1200 shipped if you watch and wait.

Screw $1500 + tax...screw $1400 + tax!

I paid 1299 at Williams Gun Shop about a year ago... I can't see that significant of a jump in a years time...

Unless it's a railed TRP Operator that is a bit high.  My local shop has one for $1384 + tax, and they are not known for having low prices.

I've seen between $1399 and $1499 new.

The EE has the best deals I've ever seen on them.

See if the shop will deal with you on the pistol.

Gun Show prices have been $1400-$1600 for the last couple years around here.  I've never seen more than two at any given show.

Purchased mine two years ago for $1250.  Since then, I've seen price creep to the $1400 range.
